Swift 18 B&B for sale

Post by webfootbill01 » Wed Apr 18, 2012 4:07 pm

We purchased B&B (previously called Twende Salama) in 2005 and have kept her on a swinging mooring at Swanage SC during the season and ashore in the winter on a galvanised trailer. Built in 1985, she is cream with a blue stripe and below, has red upholstery and white headlining which could do with some TLC.
Inventory:
Kemp mainsail with slab reefing and cover.
Roller reefing genoa
5HP Yamaha 2 stroke engine with remote tank.
12 volt battery with solar panel charger.
Masthead Trilight, and interior light.
NASA, log, speed & depth.
Compass, barometer and clock.
Plough anchor with chain and warp.
Bruce kedge with chain and warp.
2 burner/grille stove and gas bottle.
Sink, water bottle and pump.
Porta potty
4 fenders, storage bins, sundry warps and boat hook.
Dodgers and boom tent.
Galvanised road trailer.
GRP tender and oars.

£3750 all up and ready to sail. Photo's on request.

Hi
Is your boat sold and if not can you please send me some details? I am interested in buying a Swift 18 but know little about them beyond what I have read on the forum. So anything you can tell me about them would be very useful. I am particularly interested to learn how they sail and how long it take to rig and launch and de rig as I read that this can take up to two hours. Is this really so or are there any short cuts?

Best regards.
Holly.
