Post by Kevinbwilko » Mon Dec 27, 2010 5:47 pm

Isn't Santa a clever girl?! Got a NASA Duet for Christmas. Present boat has depth so easy to swap but any suggestions as to where best to place speed / distance bit, bottom of outboard well?

All the best for New Year everybody ... when it thaws!!!!!

Hi I have had a duet fitted for the last 4 years.

The depth part I have bonded to the inner side of the hull within the space under the washbasin

The log is sited in the rear lockers close to the forward bulkhead. This puts in in front of the outboard.
I think trying to site it in the outboard well would subject it to outboard cavitation and you would get inaccurate readings.

Hope your epoxy sets in the snow, minus 5 is rock bottom recommendation.

John - patiently waiting for warmer weather to repair rudder blade.
