Wing Mirrors

I should soon become the owner of a Swift18 and will be towing her home in a couple of weeks. I've not towed anything quite as wide before - do people find extension wing mirrors helpful when towing a swift?

My car measures 6'4" from tip to tip of wingmirrors.

I think it is a legal requirement these days (since 2005)
