Sprayhoods

Post by Shropshirelad » Wed Jan 24, 2018 11:09 pm

Hi, I need to replace my sprayhood; any recommendations please? Am aware that this question has been asked previously, but no response back then... Season starts soon enough and will be chilly without one!
Cheers
Rick

Hi Rick
I bought my Swift (Bebop) in August 2016 and the spray hood was made by C&J Marine. It is shown on their website. Not sure what the cost was. Recently bought a mainmast (stack pack) from Jeckells Sailmakers and they done me a really good deal compared with C&J, so may be worth asking them.

Hi Rick,
I just picked up my new sprayhood from www.starcovers-leeds.co.uk
Local to me so took my old cover which they used as a template, and I'm reusing my old frame. Cost £325 cash, I've got to check the fit and mark the exact position for the holes which he will then punch for me.
I wont be doing that until 'The Beast from the East' has been and gone again!

Checking C&J Marine, they want £858 including frame :-o

Hope this helps,
Rob
