Greetings

Post by Colne Bar » Tue Nov 02, 2010 9:56 pm

I thought I'd say say hello to everyone as I'm considering getting a Swift 18 and have found the forum and website to be a mine of excellent information. I currently own a catamaran that I'm attempting to sell (easier said than done in this economic climate!) but hope I can make a fresh start next season. I expect I would keep the boat at Brightlingsea if the HM can offer a mooring - any other East Coasters round here?

Yes, I managed to sell the catamaran and now have Swift18 'Redbug' based at Brightlingsea.
So far I've explored The River Colne, Blackwater and Pyfleet Channel, which are great areas to sail in. Next year I hope to get a bit further afield - I'm fitting a tiller pilot to make life easier when sailing single handed.
I'll have to haul the boat out for winter soon, but I'll enjoy having the boat on the driveway for all those little jobs that need doing!
