Dangerous question.
There are Microcuppers sailing on handicap in Manningtree, Essex. Two types known, GEM and Jones Micro 18 both known as much faster than a Swift.
There is a modern Proto "Shiraz" in Milford Haven, and older protos Woodchip and Speculation everywhere in UK, but not reaching a critical mass to sail together. Except in Manningtree.
Now how to cope with PY and other handicaps?
First question, is the Swift reported as faster, slower or very similar to the First 18 ?
If very similar, then we can build something together.
Then what is the definition of "Microcupper novice"?
The known difference between the slowest kwown Microcupper (Edel 5 PTE) and the fastest protos (with carbon masts, high aspect ratio mainsail, hull-stepped mast and so on) is up to 13 minutes per hour.
Take the French HN tables (sorry, no longer in English)
http://www.ffvoile.net/hn/FRA/tables/home.asp.
See also conversion Group to TMF in
http://www.ffvoile.net/hn/FRA/tables/coef.asp
The fleet is devided in Groups with approximately one minute/hour separation, and since 10 years in half-groups.
Swift is unknown. Bad luck.
First 18 is Group 3.0 TMF 0.6466
Gem is unknown, then try Microgem Group 7.5 TMF 0.6973
Neptune, Group 8.0 TMF 0.7034 and Microsail Group 7.0 TMF 0.6912 are very similar to Gem
A standard proto is Group 11.5 TMF 0.7472.
Note: With my own experience Shiraz is worth Group 12.0 TMF 0.7519
And a Woodchip or Speculation best 11.0 TMF 0.7426
Probably you find the First 210, Sun 2000 in both tables.
Another reference can be the Flying Fifteen, sailed in Belgium as French Group 14.8 TMF 0.7793
When you find a boat in both tables, multiply PY by TMF. Could be somewhere above 700 but under 800
When you find several boats, average the PY by TMF of these boats
Then divide the average by the French TMF of a boat and you have a proposed PY
Let's assume the Swift is close to First 18. Divide the average by 0.6466 and you have the solution.
