New Swift owner Hull number etc.

Post by pieeater » Thu Mar 07, 2013 8:55 am

Hi, we bought 183 Martinet in 2011 after many years cruising, etc in a Wayfarer. What a great boat. We are really glad to have this source of information here to refer to as needed. Do we need to donate to keep it here?
Anyway we have had a great time thus far and are just working on how to make her a bit quicker and more comfy. If anyone is interested please feel free to look at the following clips. All are 2012 trips from Largs. One around the Kyles, One to Arran and One through the Crinan and around Mull.
Enjoy your Swift Sailing.

Pieeater!
You're lucky to be able to sail in such a beautiful part of the country! Looks like you had some good weather too, how did you manage that last summer?
Nice to hear Runrig too!!

Thanks for your post, Rob. We are based in Wigan but Largs is not so far away (about 6 hours) and gives us access to some fine sailing. We did not do so bad last year with the weather. Easter was decidedly cold with the odd wet bit thrown in. May was excellent and summer was unbelievably good. All in all we missed one day in five week's Scottish sailing due to stormy conditions which must be a record. Three trips planned this year but I can't think we will be so lucky.
Cheers,
Charlie (pieeater)
