breakback trailer

Post by bluesman1955 » Thu Jan 17, 2019 12:13 pm

Hi
I recently bought a Swift 18, but have not dipped it in the water yet. The trailer is a breakback type which tilts just behind the axle. Has anyone launched a swift from this type of trailer, any tips would be appreciated, eg, could I get away without dipping the road wheels?
Thanks Chris

Hi what I did with my old Hurley trailer wheels/hubs I installed hozlock fittings onto the brake drums and connected them via hoses to adapters linked to a quick fit hose connector. After four years of launch and recovery the fresh water flushing along with some judicial wd40 spray kept everything corrosion free. This is the system I’m going to install on my Swift.
