Post by shaun » Fri Jun 05, 2009 1:31 pm

Can anyone recomend a tiller pilot which does not cost the earth? I want to sil single handed on the sea and need something to keep the boat on course. Thanks

I'm using a Simrad TP10 which is fine if I'm motoring or giong down wind in lightish airs but it can't seem to react quick enough on any kind of reach. I tried tacking with it and just carried on through 360. Fiddled around with the coarse/fine feature and, although this improved things a bit, I don't think it copes as well as it might (might just have a duff one!)
