Hi Stephen, seems a simple enough question until you start looking around for a good picture of the original sticker! I will attempt to take a photo of Cherry Pie's sticker/s in macro mode and give the measurements. You should the be able to download the picture and e-mail to one of the many people on e-bay and such like who specialise in marine graphics. I will not be able to do this until our next visit to N.Wales in the meantime perhaps someone else could do this for you.....they come in red and blue depending on your colour scheme as far as I know. Hope this helps. Gary

Hi,

I have attached a picture of the logo, you can get a sense of the size from the cleat, I hope. I did measure the lettering but cannnot at present find the note I made-had enough trouble finding the picture then it wouldn't behave...needed to take a screenshot in the end!

Brown in our case, rather than red or blue.

Hi all,

Thanks Gary (Cherry Pie) and Rondonay for taking the time to help us out with the decal issue, we hope to apply some decals to Avocet before putting her in the marina this summer.

I would like to thank all that take the time to participate on this website, my father and I purchased our first boat ever, this year (Avocet), and I speak for both of us when I say this forum has been invaluable.

Best regards,

Stephen Laughlin

decals for Swift 18

Stephen,

I too am sprucing up my Swift 18. I spoke to a graphics company today (specialisiing in adhesive backed vinyl) about supplying me with a new vinyl hull stripe (that runs under the toe rail) and new 'swift 18' decals.

They colour matched the stripe and the decal from a small piece I took in to their shop. They asked me to send them a photo of the decal and some basic measurements, which they can open in an 'editing suite' on their computer, scale from and laser cut new dcals; one for each side of the boat.

This will be done in 'seven year vinyl'. The best you can get, guaranteed against UV damage and weather proof etc. I have had a quote of £63.00 for the two 'swift 18' decals plus 44 feet of vinyl strip, which I think is very reasonable.

If its any use I have attached the photo I'm sending them with the measurements. I 'll also send them the same picture without lines etc that they can 'scale' from.

Regards

Jim
