Gas !!

Hi All
I am on the last legs of my refurbishment for "Little hog" and now at the gas fitting stage. This site as been an inspiration.
The old, probably original, micro bore piping disappears into the body of the boat and I am unhappy with its general condition, so have decided to not use. I am planning to re route new pipe in conduit in full view so I can check its conditiion for years to come. Any advice welcomed.
The main question is; how is the gas bottle secured in the rear locker and additionally vented in case of leaks?? The original fixing appears a little bodged just a strap screwed to bits of glued wood with no apparent vent.
I have also been told to put a roof vent above the hob/grill is this wise??
Thanks
