Careening

Post by CHERRY PIE » Mon Mar 29, 2010 10:41 am

As a matter of interest has anyone attempted or had success in careening the Swift 18 over on a sandbank with padding or suchlike to do maintainance such as painting etc? the very thought of this makes me cringe! but someone suggested it to me...just wondered..I have now designed my boat lift and will take it to the engineers for their thoughts and a price. Hadn't thought about it. But like the idea of anti fouling the keel much better with Moonshadow on her side, as opposed to in slings with me dancing about under her. Hummmmm

I agree - you go first and report back!
