Boom preventer

Post by giraffe » Wed Jan 28, 2009 10:10 pm

Hi, and Happy New Year to all.

There's an interesting discussion on the PBO forum at the moment about boom preventers, and I was wondering, do any of you ever rig a preventer when sailing your Swift downwind? If so, how do you rig yours?

Hello,
I always use a preventer when sailing down wind. I have a rope cut to size with a couple of shackles on either end. one attached to the main and the other cliped to a bracket at the front of the cockpit (either side). allows you to goose-wing.
