Hi David, When the keel comes up when unexpectedly running aground if you are unlucky enough for the threaded bar to catch the edge of the steel housing it may bend the screw. Thanks Peter for your reply, sorry to hear about the pirate activity around Rudyard, I did explain to "Reg" that its the wrong time of year for pleasure sailing. Hi Gary & Ruth Yes, like you, I sailed a boat last year with a stackpack and liked it, especially when reefing because the pack dispenses with the need for tiding up the surplus sail. As for the shortness of the pack, I've got the bit that goes around the mast. It's the other end that's the problem....
