Sorry

Thanks for suggestions, but sorry, should have been clerarer! The drip appears to be from aroung the screw holding the perspex in place at bottom starboard rather than from seat/base of hatch. Seems tight enough.

Hatch Leak

I have a small drip from around the hatch somewhere. I have removed and resealed it and replaced the rubber. The perspex looks crazed on the outside but OK on inside. Has anybody replaced it and how easy? Any other reasons for a leak? Have searched forum and apologise if this has been done before bu...

Squeaky keel lifting

Half way through last season keel lift attachment collapsed and had to be rebuilt. Everything appeared to be regreased and before launch this year repacked grease however the bearings at top are squeaking somewhat. I have to raise keel for my mooring so a weekly exercise (Yes her indoors insists I p...

Thanks

Great, just the job and I think I have all those pulleys and cleats on the boom going spare! Noticed you have an aerial / windex type thing on top of mast. Is it just bent along the shaft to get vertical?

Trap door

I need an engine to negotiate moorings and to a very shallow jetty mooring and do not have / use a tender so do rely on engine. ANYWAY ... in the bottom of the engine well appears to be two hinges and something like a fastener. Should there be a hatch type cover or what? Is it important? Can anybody...

RIP

Have now found out what the 'bang' is ... now 'was'!! The gearbox was jumping under load and as the engine looks like an original at 35 plus years old it's not worth spending on it. Just bought a Parson 4 stroke 4HP as my wife gave me permission as I promised it would be quieter and not as smelly so...

Cooking

Hi, after spending ages looking at prices I decided to buy a single burner gas cylinder cooker for under £20 with 8 cannisters. All sorts of offers on ebay! Some people have said about dangers etc. I keep gas cylinder in gas bottle holder in rear locker until needed.
