I have just purchased a Mercury 4hp and it fit fine. the only thing is that I have had to raise the cover about 2'. I looked at getting a 5hp as they are the same size (I think it is only the jet which are different).

Sorry, yes I mean the main halyard oand topping lift. at the top of my mast I can only see one pulley so if I send both ropes down inside the mast they will rub on each other. does anyone have any pictures or photo's of the rigging at the top of the mast so I can compare. I always use a preventer when sailing down wind. I have a rope cut to size with a couple of shackles on either end. one attached to the main and the other cliped to a bracket at the front of the cockpit (either side). allows you to goose-wing.
