Out board lift

Has anyone came up with an idea of how to keep there engine out of the water when moored up? In my club most of the boats angle there engines up out of the water when moored, but I have to leave mine in, or pick it up and leave it in the cockpit. Hi,
I have just purchased a Mercury 4hp and it fit fine. the only thing is that I have had to raise the cover about 2'. I looked at getting a 5hp as they are the same size (I think it is only the jet which are different).

I purchased a new Mercury 4hp 4 stroke engine and its great! Lots of room in the well, but as you say the cover does not close (think it will need lifting a few inches). The new engine pushes the boat along much better than the two stroke. At just above start position (i.e. tick over) the boat does ...

Hello,
I always use a preventer when sailing down wind. I have a rope cut to size with a couple of shackles on either end. one attached to the main and the other cliped to a bracket at the front of the cockpit (either side). allows you to goose-wing.

Hello, Can anyone help me rigging my main and topping lift ropes. my main and topping lift snapped last season and I have to replace both. Thanks for the story. I am very interested in how you managed to get afloat on Ulswater. Could you give me a little more detail (i.e. launch site, moorings, costs etc) thanks.

Lake district saling

Hi, I have just bought my first boat (Red Admiral) and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on trailer sailing in the lakes (i.e. where to launch, help with lifting mast, moorings, cost etc). I currently sail her in the north sea just off Sunderland, but wish to trail her to different...
