Re: Lifting the Swift up off the trailer to check the keel

Guys, for anyone who's interested I had some stands and lifter made up by a local welder, total cost including the two tractor jacks was €320 which I thought was very good price. Works perfectly (see photos I posted on flckr) Just need to get much smaller bow stand made up. Thanks

Question is does any one know where I should position the stands at the stern. I had a look and quick t...

Re: Water in the bilges

Cheers Guys, yes I think I've not actually even gone through the thickness of the inner skin, comparing with the thickness on the inspection hatches.

Water in the bilges

Quick question, can anyone tell me what the distance between the outer and inner skins is only I think I have some water in the bilge and drilled a couple of pilot holes but was unsure as to whether there should be a gap between the two. Thanks

Anti slip paint or Treadmaster

Hi, I'm doing a few bits on the Swift and was looking for opinion on whether to use anti slip paint or Treadmaster on the boat. I know Treadmaster is much more expensive and harder to apply but is it worth it? Thanks Martin

Solar panels and regulator

Hi, I recently brought Blue Skies II from Richard in Chichester. I've brought her over to Dublin and intend sailing her out of Rush North County Dublin. She has a small solar panel albeit which plugs into a switch panel via a cigarette type plug. Do I need to use a voltage regulator to leave it wire...
